Find peace in a stressful world with a group of like-minded people.
Led by Dr Sue Jackson, these mostly outdoor meditations are a great way to connect with nature and your own inner world at the same time.
Join us once a month on a Friday morning to meditate in a small group, in selected outdoor nature destinations in Brisbane. This 1.5hr session, 9:30-11am, will guide you through practices to calm the mind and relax the body. Being in nature helps to open us to the senses, which are the gateway to the present moment. When weather is inclement, the session will be held indoors at Brookfield studio.
This small group class is suitable for anyone interested in meditation, both those new to the practice; as well as for those with an established meditation practice wishing to deepen their practice through taking part in a guided group session involving a diversity of meditation exercises.
Practices will include walking meditations, seated, and lying down practices. All the practices are designed to help us connect with our physical body, our breath, and our capacity to be in the present moment. While the main focus of the sessions will be engaging in meditation practices, sessions may also include some gentle stretching, and informal discussion on our individual journeys with applying meditation and mindfulness into our daily lives.
Payments to be made via bank transfer. Email Sue at firstname.lastname@example.org to book your spot, and all details including the destination and account information for EFT will be sent to you. The dates for the upcoming 2021 sessions for the first half of the year are provided here. Please be sure to check back for additional or alternate dates.
Closer to the date of each session, participants will be provided with details of the location and format for the practice (all sessions will be held in Brookfield/western suburbs).
